A New Lady for my Mom

...So I came back from trip and went to my moms house. She was in one of her redecorating modes. And let me mention her hobby of the year is Quilting... so anyway... she loves painting, sculptures, drawings, figurines, etc of women. Dancing women, naked women, faceless women playing cards, women holding babies, fat women is colorful gowns, African women with baskets on their heads, etc... .. Don't ask me why, its just her thing.. She calls them her "ladies." ... And don't get me wrong she finds them in places all over the world and all of them are extremely gorgeous... an my mom is as straight as I am gay but she collects "ladies"... its jus a little odd to me... *shrug* oh well ... its jus her thing...

so anyway.. I got of track... so I'm over there and she asked me if could I paint her a lady on a quilt she's making. She had already made the quilt, had the paint and brushes out and scratch paper for me to draw it first... smh... Now, mind you... if you know me, you know I haven't been able to do anything creative in about a month or so because of the insomnia, so my first reaction was to tell her NO! ... but she is my mom and I knowing her she already planned where she was going to put the painting and planned to move all the other stuff around it. So I took the paint brush and the black paint, took a deep breath and this is what I came up with....
